Across the UK, farmers are struggling to make a living. Rising costs and increasingly volatile weather conditions are diminishing profits and dampening spirits.
Still, there lies hope: sustainable farming methods that revive the land and replenish pockets in the process. Join us as we unearth the wonders of regenerative farming practices, with expert custodians from across the agroecology landscape.
In this Regenerative Conversation, we’ll gather insights from the Nature Friendly Farming Network, Soil Association, Understanding Ag and Nature North.
Positive pathways forward will unfold, surrounded by inspiring images captured by Johannah Churchill, of sustainable approaches in action. Stuart Johnson began regenerating his Northumberland farm in response to the rising costs of chemicals. He won Soil Farmer of the Year in 2023 and is now one of the nature-friendly farmers benefitting from up to a 45% increase in return.
We warmly welcome members of local farming communities to attend, ask questions, share wisdom and unite, as we work towards a food system that benefits humans and more-than-humans alike.
For over 75 years, the Soil Association have been championing positive change in the food and farming industries.
The Nature Friendly Farming Network is a member organisation, uniting farmers working towards sustainable food and farming.
Providing farmers with tools and guidance, Understanding Ag is supporting the transition to regenerative practices.
Nature North is driving nature recovery in the North of England through partnerships, policies, and investment propositions.
The full exhibition featuring our Northumberland story of regenerative farming in practice is on display at The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre from 9 November 2024 – 12 January 2025.
