Custodians of the Land: Exhibition Launch

We warmly invite you to the next story from We Feed The UK which celebrates a trail-blazing intergenerational nature restoration and regenerative farming project unfolding at the Penpont Estate in the Bannau Brycheiniog, Wales.

Award-winning photographer Andy Pilsbury has spent 6 months photographing life on the land, his images are complemented by Welsh poetry from Hot Poet, Ifor ap Glyn, former National Poet for Wales, paintings by renowned artist and Penpont resident Robert MacDonald, and artwork produced by Penpont’s young artist in residence, Hana Salih.

Alongside a stunning exhibtion, Andy is also launching a short run of very special books for Penpont’s newly-opened Land Library. Featuring a world-class collection of nature writing for all ages, reading trails, guides and work space, the Land Library is a place where people of all ages can immerse themselves in compelling writing and the living world that inspires it.

The exhibition and Penpont’s grounds will be open between 10am – 5pm on 23nd & 23rd June. Parking will be provided on-site and a cafe serving tea, coffee and cakes will run throughout the weekend.

We are working hard behind the scenes to create this exhibiton with care for the environment. Bread & Butter Studio are printing the images onto Hahnemuehle Natural Line paper, 70% of their unique paper is made from the sisal fibres of agave plant leaves. Our gratitude goes to Hahnemuehle for their kind support in donanting the paper. The prints will be mounted onto fully recyclable, chlorine free cardboard substrate.

£5 entry, pay on arrival (under 16s free ) all proceeds go to charity Action for Conservation. Dogs on leads welcome. Penpont is 4 miles west of Brecon on the A40. what3words location: bandaged.decks.squeaks
