14:00 – 17:00
Free event
We are delighted that from February 7 – March 14 2026, artist-led gallery Primary will host a selection of work from We Feed The UK as part of their long-term Nourishment Programme.
We warmly invite growers, creatives, bakers, and the local community to a lively launch party, celebrating the opening of this exhibition. This latest iteration of We Feed The UK will feature five of the ten stories, each brimming with possibility for the future of our food system.

You’ll have the exciting opportunity to meet some of the photographers, poets and growers involved, as well as view the stunning exhibition and take part in the many delights on offer, including:
Receiving free seeds from Gaia’s Seed Sovereignty Programme Seed Swap in collaboration with Heritage Seed Library’s Sowing Your Seeds project and Notts Seed Network.
Sharing seeds with other growers is a time-honoured tradition that has helped farmers harness the power of crop diversity for millennia. Bring local seeds and their stories to swap with farmers, growers, and window-sill sowers to help increase the diversity and resilience of your local area.

Hearing hot poet Bohdan Piasecki perform a live rendition of Again Again
Bohdan Piasecki is a poet and translator from Poland based in Birmingham, whose verses have led him to tour over 27 countries. His We Feed The UK poem takes us under the surface of No Diggity Gardens‘ nutrient-rich soil.
Getting your portrait taken by exhibiting photographer Ayesha Jones
Ayesha is an award-winning artist and producer in the West Midlands, working with photography and film. Her stunning We Feed The UK photographs tell the story of Neville Portas’ community allotments in Walsall, No Diggity Gardens.

Joining Neville Portas from No Diggity Gardens to learn about his wonderfully wriggly underground collaborators
Through founding zero-waste community allotments that follow no-dig methods, Neville has sparked a new relationship with the land in Walsall, keeping carbon in the ground with the earthworms he works alongside.
Tasting bread from the Small Food Bakery made with biodiverse ‘population wheat’ grown by Gothelney Farm
The world has lost 75% of plant genetic diversity since 1900. Gothelney Farm’s diverse wheat is bringing resilience back to our fields and flavour back to our tables. Sample delicious bakes made by We Are Primary’s on-site bakery (part of UK Grain Lab) using the same wheat your eyes will feast on in the exhibition. ‘Seeds’ poem by Bristol-based musician Diz Undone (formally Dizraeli) will be on display in the Small Food Bakery.
