We warmly invite you to spend an evening with award-winning photographer Jon Tonks as we gather to reflect on his newest work and celebrate the launch of the We Feed The UK Book.

Jon Tonks’ exhibition A Fish Called Julie is on display at the Martin Parr Foundation between 3 April and 22 June 2025. This new series of photographs, captured over 18 months in waters off Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, invites us all to consider a future of fishing that can nourish cultures, livelihoods, and marine life alike.

Jon will share an insight into the making of this work and his experiences documenting stories of those preserving the life supported by our blue waters.

Set against an incredible backdrop, including Jon’s exhibition prints and a fishing boat installation, the artist talk will feature a short conversation with Martin Parr and questions from the floor.

This wonderful evening coincides with the anticipated launch of our We Feed The UK book, filled with photographs and poetry from each of our ten stories.

Having told tales of hope and regeneration to over 53 million people as exhibitions have rolled out in succession over the past 12 months – culminating in the Complete Collection of Photography and Poetry on display at The Royal Photographic Society – we are so pleased to preserve these ever-important stories among more permanent pages.

Every order supports us in opening more eyes to agroecological farming’s potential.

We hope you can join us as we embark on this special night of conversation, celebration, and hope for the future of food on these Isles.
