Fibre: Exhibition Launch Party

Belfast Exposed, 23 Donegall Street, Belfast BT1 2FF

6 February 2025

Free event

To mark the launch of our eighth We Feed The UK story, unravelling nature-friendly flax farming in Ireland, we are partnering with Late Night Art Belfast to host an evening of celebrations and exciting conversations.

Irish linen farmers, Helen and Charlie, have been reviving a lost history of flax farming in Ireland, regenerating their cultural heritage alongside soil, waterways and wildlife.

Research-based photographer, Yvette Monahan, will display her work showcasing the farm as part of a unique and textural exhibition. To complement the visual exhibits, poetry by Irish writer, performer, and lyricist, Abby Oliveira, will bring the story to life.

Excitingly, we are hosting this exhibition at Belfast Exposed. The gallery is a force for creativity; pushing boundaries, supporting new talent, and championing community for over 40 years.

If you can’t wait until the launch, you can take a sneak peek at our Fibre story online now.
