A Fish Called Julie: Exhibition Launch Party

Martin Parr Foundation, 316 Paintworks, Bristol, BS4 3AR

3 April 2025

Free event

Join us as we celebrate the launch of our tenth We Feed The UK story, surrounded by Jon Tonks‘ incredible images of sustainable fisherfolk along the Cornish coastline.

Jon’s photographs capture the stories of many stewards of the sea; those preserving the livelihoods, culture, and marine life supported by blue waters.

This event marks the beginning of a 12-week free exhibition titled A Fish Called Julie: Sustainability in the South West at the renowned Martin Parr Foundation. Fish seekers, seafood eaters, and ocean keepers will come together to consider a future of fishing that can nourish cultures, livelihoods, and marine life alike.

The launch party is your chance to meet some of the incredible collaborators of this story and hear Chris Redmond‘s poem Enough Fish Enough, which harmonises perfectly with Jon’s photographs.
