THE EXHIBITION

The food web is the web of life, an entanglement of reciprocity in which we’re all spun. The radial threads that spread from its core determine existence on earth: climate, culture, ecology, justice, wellbeing, connection.

How do we find our way back to a humbling, empowering connection with our food web, even as it is unravelled by industrial forces bent on commodifying life?

Through photography and poetry, We Feed The UK tells stories of the tide turners, grain rebels and soil sisters weaving a quiet resistance; disrupting the dominant narratives imposed on us by ‘big ag’.

Following months of community exhibitions rolling out in succession across ten regions of the UK, each celebrating a local story captured by a local photographer and poet, the complete collection from We Feed The UK is now touring as a unified exhibition, opening thousands of hearts and minds to the beautiful potential of agroecology.

Fantastic exhibition! Perhaps the
most important subject of our times. Wonderful to see it explored so extensively with photography.

Murray Bollard, exhibition attendee

We came twice. We left excited, unable to stop talking about it all. “A freckle in the hand”- the seed – which this exhibition must have made grow and grow. Overwhelming and thrilling.

Cressida, exhibition attendee

A beautiful, mystical, raw insight into all the skills, details, and different people that underpin our most essential food system.

Bonnie Hewson, exhibition attendee

Such a beautiful and inspiring exhibition! The combination of photography, poetry and objects brings the stories alive. I learnt so much from this and love how it encompasses such varied perspectives and locations whilst making the value of biodiversity and care so central.

Laura Dunne, exhibition attendee

Having already reached over 200,000 people directly at events since its inception, and 53 million more through media and online coverage, the We Feed The UK exhibition is a timely snapshot of a movement rapidly gathering pace.
